Converting Baldur's Gate 3 Wwise audio files by fex96 at 6:05 AM EST on November 3, 2020
I have .wem files that I want to convert to .ogg files.

Previously I used ww2ogg with the alternate packed codebooks which worked fine. But after a recent update to the game that changed the sound banks, this no longer works.

Perhaps the codebooks were changed? Does anyone know how I would go about converting these files now?

You might try playing the .wem files directly with vgmstream, which has support for playing wwise vorbis files and may support more recent versions of wwise.

Using ww2ogg is generally unnecessary anymore unless you really need lossless ogg output. If you like, please file an issue on GitHub with more details (or you can write here if you don't feel like signing up with GitHub). Error output from ww2ogg would help, but ideally you could provide a link to an example file.

I've submitted an issue on GitHub. Thanks for helping.

Would these benefit from the same new improved mechanisms that are happening for Castlevania Lords of shadow? Where loop points are actually being detected?

I don't see any relationship to loop detection, this issue is about some lower level change to the format.
