DOS .vgm to .mid? by MoldyPond at 5:06 PM EST on January 24, 2021
Two things, I was wondering if there happens to exist a version of the original DOS title screen music for Transport Tycoon in either .gm or .mid format (highly unlikely knowing the Windows version was "Deluxe" and had a different song), or if not then if there's any way to convert the DOS .vgm file to either .gm or .mid? From what I've been able to find, it does seem like a .mid version exists from here, however this is only an .ogg recording. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Here are the music files from an install of this disk image, but I don't know how to extract something usable from that.

Thanks so much for the quick reply! After digging around a bit more, I found a tool on the TT forums that was able to successfully extract the music files from GM.CAT into .bin files (Provided here), however now the question is if it's possible to get these into a playable format at all.

Welp, after doing a bit more digging around from the last attempt, it turns out that thanks to your link from the internet archive, I came across this, which just so happens to have the .mid files from Deluxe as well as the original theme in .mid format. I'm not sure if this is official or not but I'll take what I can get. Thanks again for posting that link!
