Thanks for posting gamerjet.

Interesting. It seems that the drive isn't reading the codes quite right. The results aren't exact consistent, as show here and in many other places throughout the CUE sheet:

FILE "Space Trip Steps (Meteor Herd).wav" WAVE
INDEX 01 00:00:00
TRACK 25 AUDIO
TITLE "Masters of the Desert (Boss)"
PERFORMER "Sega and Wavemaster"
ISRC JPD600100387
INDEX 00 03:30:06
FILE "Masters of the Desert (Boss).wav" WAVE
INDEX 01 00:00:00
FILE "Reunion (Event).wav" WAVE
TRACK 26 AUDIO
TITLE "Reunion (Event)"
PERFORMER "Sega and Wavemaster"
ISRC JPD600100387
INDEX 01 00:00:00
TRACK 27 AUDIO
TITLE "Prof. Omochao (Advertise)"
PERFORMER "Sega and Wavemaster"
ISRC JPD600100389
INDEX 00 00:41:21
FILE "Prof. Omochao (Advertise).wav" WAVE
INDEX 01 00:00:00

You can kind of see where the adjustments needs to be made because each track has it's own unique code, therefore, there shouldn't be a double ISRC JPD600100387, it should be ISRC JPD600100387, ISRC JPD600100388, ISRC JPD600100389

Anyway, as I said before, it's not the most important information, it's just information that's part of the original CD though. :)

Good catch, I didn't even notice that!
What caused that to happened though?
Did I misconfig EAC or did my drive just fail to read it correctly?

by CyberSpark at 3:49 AM EDT on June 20, 2009
It's probably the drive itself. You might try it again and see if the results change. Unfortunately, there's no real way to determine if a code is correct unless the label posts it for whatever reason, and they don't. All that I can tell, based on what I've read about ISRC codes, is that they're never to be the same within a CD, each recording code is unique.

You might be able to try this with the BenQ drive as well and see if it gives you a different result. Thanks again for running these tests. If it becomes tiresome then don't worry about it.
Testing Results of drives by gamerjet at 5:29 AM EDT on June 20, 2009
I got the same results with the Samsung 48X CD-R/RW SW-252S (Internal). It doubled the same ISRC codes.

The HP SuperMulti 40X DVD Writer 840y with Double Layer Support (USB External) couldn't retrieve the ISRC codes.

Is it possible that my disc might actually have double ISRC codes on those certain tracks? (Probably dumb question, but I figured I would offer it up anyways! :)

I tried the 2nd cd (DARK side) and interestingly, the ISRC codes are doubled at the same positions.

Then I tried my Namco Classic Collection Digigroove Techno Maniax CD and look at the following...

The ISRC codes are completely out of sequence!

Track #1: ISRC JPPC09717451

Track #2: ISRC JPPC09717449

etc.

Could their be some kind of hidden ISRC code protection or blocker? Like a securom or starforce protection? Possibly preventing the correct retrieval of data? (I'm probably thinking too deep here, but I'm just throwing anything out there that would seem reasonably possible, at least to me anyways!)

EDIT: Maybe my drive does not support ISRC code?
Maybe EAC was wrong? On a side note, EAC crashed during a repeat test. Not really important, but I figured I shared anyways because it locked my drive for like a mintue after the crash and I was like ****! LOL

You know what, don't worry about the ISRC codes for now, I will look into the matter a little more later today. You can use the Samsung 48X CD-R/RW SW-252S to rip the CDs and leave the option for retrieving ISRC code enabled.

If anything, I can request that the other person preform this same test with their drive and see if the results are any different. If they are any more consistent, they can just be swapped out. Since other persons are looking forward to you ripping an EAC lossless version of this soundtrack, I don't want to hold that up for some piece of information that doesn't even affect the ripping quality and can be changed at some later time. Again, if you have any problems in setting up the program with the tutorial, I will gladly help you out. :)

By the way, there are two different methods for ripping the CD, as sighted in the tutorial. Both are just as accurate but the main difference is the files that are generated. My preferred method is ripping the soundtrack as a single WAV (FLAC) file with CUE sheet and log file, these files will work very easily in foobar2000, Winamp, and other media players that support the CUE sheet. The other method, ripping the CDs into multiple WAV (FLAC) files with CUE sheet and log file, is also good, especially if you have a portable player that supports FLAC files, you'll have less of a hassle in moving those files over to the player. So basically, you can't go wrong with either method. If you were to load the CUE sheet from a single WAV rip or a Multi-WAV rip, both will be exactly the same and burn exactly the same. :) By the way, you can still separate the Single WAV file into multiple WAV files even after you've ripped the CD. It's a few steps but it's very simple to do through the EAC program.

Anyway, sorry about the wall of words. :p

Uploading atm by gamerjet at 12:42 AM EDT on June 21, 2009
Everything went smoothly with EAC, no errors.

As of this writing, I'm in the process of uploading to Mega upload. I've archived everything into 2 7zip files, one for each disc and files. I've tested the 7zips and they have no detected errors and should extract just fine.

Hopefully the uploads will go smoothly, ETR 8 hrs.

I've included cue's, log's, md5's, sfv's, m3u's.

I'll post links asap, as I'll probably be asleep when it finally finishes. :)
