- Something I missed in compiling the VGM Bookmarks page was gmdb. I'd never heard of it, apparently it's another album database.

- Oh, and I now have 1,334 albums which passed all my tests, 612 left to check manually, and 200 with at least one error.

- I ripped all the audio from Max Payne (PS2), it's all just VAG files packed into one big chunk. I put together a rip kit for it.

- This is some interesting stuff, I found this one track that's a Star Trek parody type thing about 3D game development. My brother says it isn't in the game, and I don't see any references online to it.
I put a bunch more of these quotes online for all to see.

- Over the past two days or so I've been working with someone on a DSP encoder, for the purpose of importing new music into Donkey Konga.
What I have now works, but it doesn't do the encoding itself. You can use the standard devkit mono DSP encoder to make a DSP, then convert it to Donkey Konga format with my tool.
It wasn't the first time someone asked me about this, but it's the first time someone was able to track down the GC devkit themselves and actually test my output on the hardware (and it works, too!)

- I'm going to be on vacation from August 1 through August 10 or so, most likely without any net access, so behave and try not to break the site.
Also I've finally hit 50% of my bandwidth usage this month. Keep it up, guys, make my host work for what I'm paying!

- I'm filling up my MP3 player for my trip and I put Unlimited Saga on there because I remembered someone having mentioned it. I thought I remembered hearing it before and not thinking it was that good, but I must have been mistaken because I'm listening to it now and it's awesome!
Check it out!
- Vacation Report by hcs at 7:13 PM EDT on August 12, 2005
- I went to Los Angeles for 11 days with my mother and brother.
We stayed in a hotel two days, with cousin a few and a friend of my mother for a few more.
Lots of touristism... Universal Studios, saw a Dodgers game (Phillies won), attended a Bach & Vivaldi concert at the Hollywood Bowl, saw a great performance of Richard III for free (apparently one member of the group is a voice actor for Samurai Champloo and Paranoia Agent, though he wasn't performing that night).
I stopped in a store called Ameboa Music on my cousin's recommendation. I went straight to the soundtracks section and found Final Fantasy VI Grand Finale for $6 (marked as used but still in original wrapping with OBI), so I picked it up. The FF9 OST was there, but it was used and in pretty crappy condition and still $50... I saw FF Tactics for $12 and for whatever reason I passed on it. I regretted that for the next few days and stopped by again, only to find it had been sold! FF5 Piano was there instead, but I already have that in lossless form and it isn't really my favorite. When at Universal Studios we walked through the big outdoor mall "City Walk" and stopped in a Sam Goody, where I got the second Hellsing OST (RUINS).
Still regretting Tactics (and to a lesser extent FF1&2 (GBA) which was there was there as well).
I checked on the forums once from each location (so 3x total).
